Omolola Fasina, Lawyer
Omolola Fasina fondly called “Lola” is an immigrant, who initially came to Canada to study. Having gone through the Canadian immigration system, she is aware of how cumbersome this process can be without proper guidance. This experience challenged her to be a resourceful and indispensable help to future immigrants who would need help in settling into the Canadian system. Lola’s commitment to helping future immigrants integrate easily into Canadian society drew her into Immigration and Refugee law.
Lola is a dual-qualified lawyer. She earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from Afe Babalola University in 2014, she then proceeded to the Nigerian Law School to earn her B.L and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015. She further obtained her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 2017 from the University of Western Ontario Canada.
Lola was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2021. Since her call to the bar, her practice has included a wide range of refugee and immigration law, with a focus on refugee claims, appeals at the Refugee Appeal Division, and judicial reviews at the Federal Court. She has appeared before the Immigration Refugee Board, Immigration Appeal Division, and the Federal Court of Canada.
Lola is a highly motivated individual, who is empathetic to the needs of her clients while using all necessary means within her capacity to meet their expectations. She also has a reputation for handling difficult cases with a successful outcome.
She speaks English, Yoruba, and Pidgin.

Colleen McGuire, Lawyer
Colleen McGuire earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Ottawa in 2023. She was called to the Ontario Bar in April 2024.
Colleen went to Dalhousie University, where she majored in Spanish and Latin American Studies. During university, she went on exchange in Campeche, México, which sparked her love for the Spanish language and Latin American culture. Colleen speaks Spanish and French.
Colleen’s love of Spanish and understanding of how conflict displaces millions of people around the world inspired her to pursue refugee law. Having traveled extensively abroad, Colleen understands the difficulty of communicating in another language and navigating another country’s culture.
Colleen is dedicated to helping refugees and immigrants put forward their best possible case so they can start their new lives in Canada. She is passionate about helping people escape violence and insecurity.
Colleen has an excellent understanding of conflict areas around the world and loves learning about new cultures. She treats her clients with empathy and cultural sensitivity and works hard to ensure their needs are met.
Ammar Al-Doori, Legal Assistant
Ammar works as the legal assistant at Lola’s Law Office. After completing two years of Law at the University of Damascus in 2014, Ammar moved to Canada, where he studied General Art and Science at Fanshawe College. Upon completing the highest English language level, Ammar completed two years of Business diploma at Fanshawe College. After that, Ammar undertook a four-year undergraduate course in Governance, Leadership, and Ethics at Western University, where he studied various political and Law courses.
Ammar has comprehensive work experience in different sectors. His first professional role began at the Red Cross Church, where he worked with Iraqi refugees in Syria. Ammar also possesses vast customer experience skills; meeting client needs in an effective and efficient way which he gleaned during his time at TD Bank, Bill Gosling Outsourcing, and Instacart.
Yulieth Munetonez, Legal Assistant
Yulieth Munetonez serves as a dedicated legal assistant at Lola’s Law Office, bringing a wealth of international experience and a strong educational background to her role. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Colombia in 2011 and a Specialist Administrative Law Postgraduate Degree in 2015, Yulieth honed her legal skills and expertise before embarking on her journey to Canada.
Upon relocating to Canada, Yulieth pursued further education at Fanshawe College, obtaining a Human Resources Management Certificate in 2023. This diverse educational background underscores Yulieth’s commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Yulieth boasts seven years of prior legal experience before transitioning to Canada, where she seamlessly integrated her expertise into her role as a legal assistant. Her multifaceted skill set enables her to excel in various aspects of legal support, from document preparation to client communication. She is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, embodying Lola’s Law Office’s values of client-centered service and excellence in immigration law.

Monica Jimenez, Legal Assistant
Monica Jimenez is a Colombia Lawyer who graduated with honours and has over 21 years of experience. She immigrated to Canada 16 years ago and has worked as a legal assistant for about eight years. Monica is passionate about law and immigration and always goes above and beyond to help our clients in their immigration process. She is a client’s need-centred professional who works with integrity and professionalism to meet service standards and clients’ expectations.
Monica speaks English and Spanish.
